Hi friends
This is tuli from kolkata who has now shifted to Abu Dhabi,UAE with husband.
As I used to be a working woman in kolkata and very friendly lively person who and her husband usually enjoy their time with friends and family has now come to a place where people are too busy in their lives. So, without a job till now I am basically getting bored. So,I thought why not I share some of my basic culinary skills with those who is like me and they can also share their views as well.
Well first of all I am a Bengali girl (bangal) who married a Bihari boy. So, in my column you can find some basic recipes of both Bengali and Bihari dishes as well.

Aloor bharta: (for 2)
Ingredients :-
2 potatoes large or medium
1 big onion
4 green chilies ( as per your requirement as there will be red chili powder as well)
red chili powder,
Turmeric powder
Few black cumin(kalo jeera)
Preparation :-
Firstly boil the potatoes, if in pressure cooker one or two whistle for which potatoes needs to cut into half so that it boils nicely.
Drain the water and cool it in room temperature.
Peel the potatoes and add finely chopped onions, green chillies, salt and turmeric powder.
Mash the potatoes nicely so that no lumps remains.
Take a pan, add oil (as it is not a deep fry recipe so oil as per the cooking)
Put the black jeera into the oil. Once it is splutters, add  the mashed potatoes and fry it .
If required put some more oil to fry.
Keep frying till it come to golden colour.
