Guys if you do not have any vegetables at your home don’t worry if you have egg in your home then all your problem will be solve as egg is one of the food which most of the people love to have.
My today’s dish is something which is the result of two things, firstly my laziness as I don't have any vegetables at home and I am not feeling like to shop and secondly my husband like egg very much but he do not prefer lentils so to utilize both the thing I thought of preparing dim er dal and not dimer dalna 😉.
Dimer dal: (For 6)
Ingredients :-
Egg 6
Moong and masoor dal 200gm (total)
Onion 1
2 green chilies
Ginger garlic paste 1 ½ spoon
Red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin
powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder,
black pepper powder
2 Cardamom stick
1 Tejpatta
Sunflower oil
Salt
Preparation :-
First boil the eggs, peel the shells and keep aside
In a pan sauté the moong daal and when it cool off along with the masoor dal wash it and pressure cooked both the dal with little turmeric powder and salt with one whistle.
In the pan heat oil and fry the eggs and keep aside.
After That add the cardamom sticks, tej patta, chopped onion and fry till the nice aroma comes and the onion become brown.
Add the ginger garlic paste and fry for sometime so that the raw aroma should be removed.
Add turmeric, red chili, coriander ,black pepper and cumin powder and fry the masala nicely
When oil starts to separate add the dal and cover the pan as the dal starts to boil
When the gravy turns to thick add the eggs and cover the pan so that the masala mixes with the eggs.
Remove the cover and add garam masala and green chilies and cover it again.
When the gravy completely thicken stop the stove.
Enjoy with bread or roti.
