Dim er omelette er tarkari



Ingredients :-(For 2 to 3)

4 eggs
1 large onion
2 green chilies
Ginger garlic paste 1 ½ spoon
Red chili powder, coriander, cumin and turmeric powder, garam masala powder, black pepper powder
Pinch of hing
1 medium tomato
2 Cardamom stick
1 Bay leaf
Sunflower oil
Salt
1pinch sugar
Coriander leaves(optional for taste)
Preparation :-

Firstly beat the eggs into a bowl add salt as per the taste and small amount of turmeric powder
and make a big omelette in a pan ,cut the omelette into cubes and put aside.
In the same pan put oil ,pinch of hing and add 2 cardamom sticks and one bay leaf and fry for few seconds.
When nice aroma comes add the chopped onions (onion should be chopped finely).
When onions comes to little brown in colour add the chopped tomato and fry.
Add the ginger garlic paste and fry for sometime  so that the raw aroma should be removed.
Add little water for the masala to be soft and add 1 pinch of sugar for the colour.
Add turmeric, red chilly, coriander ,black pepper and cumin powder,add some more water and cover the pan.
Check for sometime and fry the masala so that the masala should be cooked and not in a raw state
Add more water to boil ,when the water gets boiled add the cubed omelettes, green chilies and garam masala and cover the pan
Pan should be cover so that the juice of the omelette should be mix with the gravy
If you want you can make the gravy thick or thin.
Enjoy with hot rice or roti
This is indeed very easy preparation and can be make quickly and very tasty as well.

Mushur daal er chorchori:



Hi Friends,

Ingredients:
Mushur lentils or Daal  200
Potato 2
Onion 1
Ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon
Kalojeer or Kalonjee 1 pinch
Green chilies 2to 3
Sugar
Salt
Oil
Red chili, cumin, coriander and turmeric powder
coriander leaves
Egg (Optional)

Preparation:
Wash the lentils and keep aside.
Cut potato into small cubes
In a pan add oil, when the oil is moderate heat add kalonjee, chopped onion, potatoes and stir fry and add ginger garlic paste and cover the pan.
When the potatoes are half done add green chilies, cumin, turmeric, coriander and red chili powder    
Now add the washed lentils  and fry it .
When the lentils is half done add sugar and salt as per your taste since it will taste little sweet, add water and cover again.
Add coriander leave when the dal is half dry.
If you like add scrambled fried eggs in the dal chorchori.
Enjoy with hot roties.

Dimer Daal



Guys if you do not have any vegetables at your home don’t worry if you have egg in your home then all your problem will be solve as egg is one of the food which most of the people love to have.
My today’s dish is something which is the result of two things, firstly my laziness as I don't have any vegetables at home and I am not feeling like to shop and secondly my husband like egg very much but he do not prefer lentils so to utilize both the thing I thought of preparing dim er dal and not dimer dalna 😉.
Dimer dal: (For 6)
Ingredients :-
Egg 6
Moong and masoor dal 200gm (total)
Onion 1
2 green chilies
Ginger garlic paste 1 ½ spoon
Red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin
powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder,
black pepper powder
2 Cardamom stick
1 Tejpatta
Sunflower oil
Salt
Preparation :-
First boil the eggs, peel the shells and keep aside
In a pan sauté the moong daal and when it cool off along with the masoor dal wash it and pressure cooked both the dal with little turmeric powder and salt with one whistle.
In the pan heat oil and fry the eggs and keep aside.
After That add the cardamom sticks, tej patta,chopped onion and fry till the nice aroma comes and the onion become brown.
Add the ginger garlic paste and fry for sometime so that the raw aroma should be removed.
Add turmeric, red chili, coriander ,black pepper and cumin powder and fry the masala nicely
When oil starts to separate add the dal and cover the pan as the dal starts to boil
When the gravy turns to thick add the eggs and cover the pan so that the masala mixes with the eggs.
Remove the cover and add garam masala and green chilies and cover it again.
When the gravy completely thicken stop the stove.
Enjoy with bread or roti.

Prabashe bangladeshi ghoroa rannaghar


Hi friends
This is tuli from kolkata who has now shifted to Abu Dhabi,UAE with husband.
As I used to be a working woman in kolkata and very friendly lively person who and her husband usually enjoy their time with friends and family has now come to a place where people are too busy in their lives. So, without a job till now I am basically getting bored. So,I thought why not I share some of my basic culinary skills with those who is like me and they can also share their views as well.
Well first of all I am a Bengali girl (bangal) who married a Bihari boy. So, in my column you can find some basic recipes of both Bengali and Bihari dishes as well.

Aloor bharta: (for 2)
Ingredients :-
2 potatoes large or medium
1 big onion
4 green chilies ( as per your requirement as there will be red chili powder as well)
red chili powder,
Turmeric powder
Few black cumin(kalo jeera)
Preparation :-
Firstly boil the potatoes, if in pressure cooker one or two whistle for which potatoes needs to cut into half so that it boils nicely.
Drain the water and cool it in room temperature.
Peel the potatoes and add finely chopped onions, green chillies,salt and turmeric powder.
Mash the potatoes nicely so that no lumps remains.
Take a pan, add oil (as it is not a deep fry recipe so oil as per the cooking)
Put the black jeera into the oil. Once it is splutters, add  the mashed potatoes and fry it .
If required put some more oil to fry.
Keep frying till it come to golden colour.
Enjoy with masoor dal, hot rice or rotis.
